Should we change the present system of education in our country?
A good education system keeps the foundation of prosperity and success for the country. If a country wants to be independent and economically well then it needs to check the education system which it is following.
For
- There is need for more innovation in the education system.
- More advanced technologies should be used in this sector in order to compete with other countries.
- More and more amendments should be done to make students more physically fit and mentally strong.
- Schools and institutes should focus more on the development of an individual.
- Schools and institutes with education should teach values and manners.
Against
- The system is automatically changing and including new and moder options to help students to improve their skills.
- The curriculum has already included the improvements like “balanced textbooks” and they try to make it more interactive.
- Current education trends are using more technological programs to help students grow and to increase their memory.
- Lots of programs is been conducted to help students to grow mentally and professionally.
According to me the curriculum needs a revision on the prospects they are providing in their education system to strengthen it more.

- To empower the youth the first and foremost thing that the country needs to pay heed is the change in the education system of the country. India is the home and birthplace of many of the inventions which shaped the world and is proud of holding many experts from various fields bringing laurel to the country. Education plays important roles is shaping the future and support the experts from where they grow to begin the adventure of their life. In this technological era our education system looks like an assembly line of the factory preparing the assembly workers.
There is an immediate need to look into it and bring a holistic change in the education system of the country. There should be a way of bringing the industry and academia to create skilled and employable graduates from the colleges
The goal and policy of the new education system should be on creating entrepreneurs, artists, scientists, thinkers and writers to create knowledge based economy rather the prevailing low quality service provider country in the world we are turning to be.

- In india education system is in such a way that a person is contributing his 1/4th life in education only.even after completing education he need to learn many skills like computer ,it ,soft skills.now a days parents are concentrating on education only.now the current generation stop playing physical sports also .current system is completely blended with theory only ,no practical knowledge.so the education is becoming outdated for current job needs .A lot of improvement should take place in the current education system so tha t students must get the ability to compete the international and ever changing market

- I think we have a robust system in place, we are lacking in implementation. There is no deficit in infrastructure, as schools and colleges are well equipped and are at par with international institutes. The biggest gap and slump can be seen in the implementation process and execution. You need an experienced driver to drive your swanky car. Similarly, we have hardware, we require good driver to run them. In India, teachers are not paid well, they are looked down. There is hardly anyone who aspires to become a teacher. A lot of efforts are to be put in to attract good people to take up teaching profession.

- In India the education system is not too much good & it is not also very much bad. The reason due to which it is not too much good is the lack of technologies and innovations. In some cases we think that we should change the present education system but in other second we also think that what is the guarantee that the new education system is better than the present education system.
For making our country good in education we have to change the present education system & have to take the risks.
In new education system we have to bring practicals with theories because in the present education system there is more theories & too much less practicals.
Government also have to pass rules like if someone becomes graduate from government colleges & schools he must be eligible for the government jobs & government have to reserve at least 70 - 80% seats for that person who become graduate from the government colleges.

- Hello,
The education is base of a man's life. When one takes education its knowledge increases which helps individual as well as the whole society directly or indirectly. But today's education system is more based on just scoring marks. It becomes the main motto of each student from junior standards to be ahead in class. However in such cases, gaining knowledge become less priority for a student. So the changes should be such that instead of getting more and more in competition of scoring marks, students give more priortize to knowledge.
And one more thing, courses should include more practical subjects and subjects which teach us how to live and face hurdles in this changing environment of world will create more interest in students.Examination system should be more concentrated on practical knowledge more than theoretical. - RE: Should we change the present system of education in our country? -prabhansh (08/16/16)
- see merely changing the system is not the solution to the problem. What is the guarantee that new system would be better, the thing is we need to improve the existing system instead of focusing on getting good grades and marks focus must be on learning and this must be initiated at homes my parents and teachers. If study begins to create curiosity in child rather than boredom and burden it would help them to learn things easily and efficiently thereby making them skillful individuals that are needed for the advancement of any country.

- Hello guys.. I agree wih some of the points presented above and I am for the change in education system. I think with the globalisation and technical advancements students should be exposed to all the recent discoveries and happenings along with the textbook knowledge through multimedia facilities. This will plant that seed of curiosity in their minds as to what they are learning will actually lead to and will give them the motivation to persue it.

- Hi
I agree with all folks what they said .. Indian education should be change immediately . its country needs . we are getting only theoretical knowledge no practical knowledge . There is no use this kind of education . Industry departs heads also go for all colleges visit all the colleges and brings them and explain all the students whats they need and what kind of knowledge and explain them what kind of future developments they are doing upto 20 years ..
If government pass the rule like this .. " who have completed their primary and secondary education in government schools and colleges only they are eligible for government jobs " . Our education system immediately will change .. At least if they 80% reservation in government jobs who have completed their education from government schools and colleges . We can see good improvement in our education system - RE: Should we change the present system of education in our country? -Jahnvi pandey (11/01/15)
- I definitely think our current education system needs lots of changes and innovations in it. Education system should take an innocent child as its standard parameter. Moral as well as physical values should be the prime most target. Lots of variations and fields should be generated as per the interest zone of an individual. Education shouldn't be bound within the boundaries of marks.Judgemental behaviour based on memorization towards students is a poison for upcoming generation. Child needs a lot of encouragement for their interest zone. Some of the subjects should be made compulsory including country's history civics and geography. Teaching staff should be selected as per the sound knowledge of that very subject ,they are going to teach, weather the teacher is primary or university professor. System should not all be dependent on theoretical bookish knowledge. Practical implementation is highly required for making students learn stuffs quickly and everlasting.

- Yes ,i think that education system must be change ,and one thing change is there is the subject of moral values and manner because this time our generation have great need of manners and good values.
& our generation have need of those type of teacher they are polite and freindly nature with students. Thank u - RE: Should we change the present system of education in our country? -DEEPTI (10/05/15)
- YES, it requires a change seriously. in the past years there have been very few or no breakthrough inventions and discoveries in fact we are only producing educational waste. The grading system should be done away with as it has killed the value of edn. Moreover everyone has started taking it lightly as there is a general human tendency that anything is easy or free loses its value. It has developed a casual attitude among students, teachers and parents. Till VIII or X students are made too casual and suddenly the pressure rises in XI and XII which becomes very difficult for them to cope up with.
Board examination to be brought in V, VIII,X as well. - RE: Should we change the present system of education in our country? -DEEPTI (10/05/15)

- Yeah, there is a need for a definite change in the school curriculam. What would students be benefitted from just cramming the stuff and vomiting in the exams for the purpose of scoring high grades and scores.Students should have e-learning classes which would facillitate in giving lucid description of some mind numbing theories.
Secondly, sex education is the need of the hour. With the increasing urbanisation in Ache Din their is a no measure on the crime rate which is extending like wildfire. And no onr would be shocked to know that wo should be held responsible for this.Obviously huge number of youth population which is doing such things blindly. So sex education would give them mental ability to prohibit such act. - RE: Should we change the present system of education in our country? -DEBALAXMI ROUT (08/04/15)
- HELLO,
Everyone,i've read all the post, i m totally agree wid u folk. But i would like to say some few points about this topic. I must say one thing here, Education system in india should have changed.
Before goes this topic i would like to say. why india is still a developing country? because of Education system very poor in india. I would like to say few point which would be easier to understand.
(1). A students carrier has to start from schooling period. If he/she would be very strong at the starting point, then she can be able to do everything, although it is a difficult task for them.during schooling periods, he/she should have made in that way to solve any critical problems.
(2). One more thing every student should have given chance individually instead of sir's daughter/son.
(3).Most of the parents are sending his/her child abroad cuz might be he/she could be achieve all those things, whatever they are wanted. If we'r able to change our way of thinking we can change also our education system.
(4). During school periods, the below things should have given more emphasize more than anything else.
a. should have given presentation in front of all as well how to communicate?
b.Extra curricular activities mandatory.
c.Give chance to solve the problem in their own way. some inspiration subject.
(5).After completed schooling, when a boy/girl goes to college, during that time, students are master at theoretical instead of giving more emphasize at practical. now a days practical knowledge much more than theoretical knowledge. Theoretical knowledge only helpful for securing highest marks.I m giving a example myself, i've done b.tech in a private college, during practical periods i was even unable to touch the practical instruments.cuz our teacher were saying if it would be broken u have to pay for this. in our country, there are lot of private colleges. if the govt wouldn't have approved the private college, it would be better for student as well country..i have nothing much to say
thanks.....have a great day to all of uu...keep smiling..... - RE: Should we change the present system of education in our country? -shananth sarupuru (07/16/15)

- A good education system is the most important for any nation to grow. We require change in this system massively. Vocational training should be made mandatory along side lots of practicals.

- I want to say to change only two things "Teaching style and examination pattern" in education sector, you will get all the things. Rote learning and pressure of examination based on reproduction of materials kills the creativity of the children. Their brain slowly slowy believe that the things in books is only correct and loose confidence in own thinking and creativity. In brief, we are producing robotics brain who can only "re - search" solutions, not "research". And that's the main problem. These robotics brains needs a casual training for routine jobs for employment, instead of thinking how to solve problem, robotics brains blames to others and when they got chance to improve situations, they are unsure how to - "Because of lack of Critical Thinking and confidence on his own thinking".
Grow everyone as donkey - you will never get lion.
Grow everyone as lion - you will get sufficient number of lions.
Grow children as a rote learner - you will never get "right" at "right place"
Grow children as critical thinker -- you will get everything "creative & better" at most of time.
The right policy - "stop the rote learning and examination based upon it. Generate Critical thinking and problem solving skills"
The right politics - "Don't judge based upon memorization skills and do not interfere in children learning process, instead increase their thinking skills and encourage them to find out the solutions themselves. Don't play dirty politics of marks and no admission"
The right training - "Generate Curiosity, Develop Critical thinking, Encourage for innovative solutions."
You will able to solve more than 50% problem of India, when these children become youth and start to work for country.

- Hello everyone
Well yes at some points I feel that our present education system should have some changes in it....
I think for subjects like History and other social subjects there should be films made on it and not textbooks for the kids.... The stories which we have in books related to history is difficult to mug-up, but if at the same time we see a movie related to history we tend to remember things better... so i guess this will somehow make things better for the students...........
Another thing i feel that entrance exams are not on Par for all the students who hail from different study background, like students from commerce, arts, science have different subjects in their college... so basically while giving entrance exams science students come-up with strong mathematical skills and arts students with a good knowledge of English(All thanks to English literature) and coming to the commerce students they just focus on accounts related subjects in 3 years and finally end up by knowing very little or completely nothing about either maths or eng or sometimes both...
I therefore feel that there is no uniformity in entrance exams... so the education department should come with something which will make things on PAR for all the students - RE: Should we change the present system of education in our country? -sahota (07/16/14)

- hai everyone, education is like a guide through which we can lead a path for our future.
so, changes should be done according to the circumstances. in our present education system
there are both goods and bads. government has provided free text books which helps the
poor people who cant afford education. it also made amendmesnts favourably to girls. it is
really appreciable. but today education is only seen in earning way. if we offer education wecan earn good. and also the educational institutions have became commercialised. but it is also necessary to teach moral education. because without values education is like
diwali without lights. i want to conclude that there is need for the changes in the
education system because today students are tomorrow country leaders.

- defenately we should change our education system because even we need more accuracy before a number of years british came and ruled on us and now we are going there to be ruled by ourselves.
