On Kisan Diwas, Snapdeal has announced the launch of its “The Agri Store” which provides farmers a chance to purchase items such as seeds, fertilisers and irrigation tools which are critical for their daily operations.

The English version of The Agri Store has been launched. Its Hindi avatar will soon be released for helping farmers to make informed and easy decisions, according to a statement issued by the company.
“Now, farmers will be able to access products critical to their daily needs easily at the click of a button, thus bringing forth the inclusive power of digital marketplaces in the realm of agriculture as well,” Snapdeal CEO and Co-founder Kunal Bahl said in a statement to the press.
With over 70% of the nation’s population engaged in agriculture, Bahl also shared how “With the store also accessible through mobile phones, we are positive that farmers will find this a convenient and efficient way to shop.” Wide variety and range of farm items from seeds to fertilisers, farming and irrigation tools are available through the Agri Store.
Snapdeal also plans to introduce more categories and products within the weeks that are coming for merchants to make The Agri Store the prime choice for farmers seeking quality products, excellent services and reliability, according to the official statement issued by the e-commerce giant.
