TCS Campus Placement Process
TCS Campus Placement Process
Founded in 1968, with its headquarter in Mumbai, one of the busy cities of India. Tata Consultancy services limited is a multinational company which provides information technology services, consulting and business solutions.
TCS offers new horizons and gives its employees enormous opportunities to learn and grow. Every year TCS looks for new talent to be a part of this ever growing company. Many students aspire to join this workforce. TCS recruits software engineers, consultants and other graduates for entry level jobs. The candidate should have a minimum of 60% in class 10th and 12th.
Also, the student should have less than 2 years gap in the academic career.
It has been observed that the recruitment process has 3 steps. The first one is the written test. The written test has questions ranging from verbal ability and reasoning. It also has an aptitude section. It has been seen that from last year onwards there is negative marking for each wrong answer. Hence, the student should take care of negative marking and only those questions should be attempted which the student is sure of. For each wrong answer 0.33 marks would be deducted.
The written test would concentrate on questions on puzzles, probability, equations, time and numbers. After successful completion of the written test, the selected students qualify for the technical interview.
In the technical interview questions are based on college projects done by the student in the final year. The interviewer may ask the student his /her favorite subject and the student is expected to be asked questions based on the same.
The final round is the HR round. Students who clear the technical interview qualify for this round. In this round the HR of the company would first ask the student to introduce her/himself. Sometimes it is observed that the HR would like to know what the student knows about the company.
In the HR round the interviewer would test the students communication skills. The HR would also want to know how can the student be an asset to the company.
