Waive : choose not to insist on a claim or a right.
For e.g: 1. The Government decided to waive the farmers’ loans.
2. The young lady waived all her possessions before joining the Abbey.
Wave : move your hand to and fro as a greeting or signal/ a regular to and fro motion of particles of matter involved in transmitting sound, light, heat etc.
For e.g: 1. The thief waved a pistol and threatened the passengers.
2. The sound which we hear on radio is transmitted in the form of waves.
