What are the demerits of implementing VRS is an organization?


Though Voluntary Retirement is a voluntary scheme, but it faces many problems,

a. To certain extent it creates fear and a sense of uncertainty among employees working in the organization.

b. Many times the severance costs are’ higher.

c. Sometimes trade unions protest the operation of such schemes and may cause disturbance in normal operations.

d. Sometimes some of the good, capable and competent employees may also apply for separation.
