What are the eligibility criteria for admission in CMC Vellore?

I am a student of 12th science with Physics, Chemistry and Biology. I want to pursue MBBS from CMC Vellore and shall be appearing their entrance tests next year after my boards. What are the eligibility criteria for admission in CMC Vellore? I have scored an average of 78% in the combination of Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

It is advisable that you should begin your preparations for entrance tests in this very year along with your regular curriculum of 12th. The admission shall largely depend on your performance in the entrance test. Here is the list of eligibility criteria of CMC Vellore for admission 2014:

• Candidates should have born on or before December 31, 1997

• The basic eligibility for appearing in entrance exam is to pass higher secondary examination in 10+ 2 pattern

• The candidate should have studied Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English during Higher School Certificate (HSC/10+2)

• Candidates must have scored 60% marks at 10+2 level in each of Physics, Chemistry and Biology (or Botany and Zoology taken together)

• Applicant must have an aggregate of 140/200 in Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects, both at qualifying and competitive examinations and must have passed in English subject.

These factors will decide if you are eligible for an admission into CMC. Admission shall be confirmed only after you pass the entrance test. Best of luck!
