What are the operations supported by Progress’s procedure editor?

Progress’s Procedure editor allows text block manipulation by giving three main operations and these are as follows:

- Cut: this allows the cutting of the text and it allows either the complete or small part of it to be cut.

- Copy: the part that is been cut can be copied to some other location or some other part of text.

- Paste: this allows the pasting of the cut material on to some other text. There is a difference between copy and paste.

- In case of copy the material is not removed/cut from the original it is just copied from one location to another.

- Editor supports these three operations that use a special cut/paste buffer allowing easy use of interface.

- The buffer is being used by all the platforms and that are running the character mode of operations.

- While cutting or copying a block of text, the text goes in the buffer and remains till its being copied to another text area.
