What are the requirements to appear in CFAP exam?
CFAP or Certified Forensic Accounting Professional, is worked through a points system i.e. every candidate should atleast have 45 points to be a certified forensic accounting professional. Every year of education carries 10 points and every year of work experience is worth 5 points. We can simplify this by saying; any graduate with minimum three years of experience is eligible for the examination of CFAP. Students having gained experience while pursuing for CA are eligible for the purpose of CFAP. Aspirants who haven’t done their graduation but are working in the corporate sector can also apply for certification, if they meet the 45 points criteria.
Any candidate who has done his graduation and has atleast one year experience in the Nationalised Banks, private sector banks, co-operative banks or non-banking finance company, credit card company or a financial institution is eligible to apply for the CFPA exam. Also the following documents are required to be presented along with the application form:
Self attested application form duly filled up with all the correct information, copies of graduation certificates, experience letter from the recent company working in, and also a photograph.
