CAT is an All India national level computer based test directed by Indian Institutes of Management. This entrance exam helps to take admission in management courses. Based on CAT percentile total, applicants are called for next phase of assortment-rejection procedure which generally comprises of Group Discussion, Thesis and Personal Interview (GDPI). It is a multi-choice based test with negative marking for wrong answers.

You will need to have a Bachelor’s Degree, with at minimum marks of 50% or corresponding CGPA so that makes you eligible for this test. CAT is mainly concentrated on the following areas which you must start preparing for:

• English (Verbal Ability),

• Mathematical (Quantitative Ability),

• Data Interpretation, and

• Logical Reasoning.

The computer based test will be divided into two sections as follows:

Both the sections are performed one after another with separate time parameters. The CAT exam 2014 is of 155 minutes which is separated into several sections. There will be negative marks for every incorrect answer. The Test will contain about 60 questions. Best of luck!
