What are the various kind of bargaining?
• Distributive Bargaining: The parties try to get maximum gains / profits. This include economic issues such as wages, bonus, benefits etc. The gain of one party become loss for another and loss of one party become gain of another.
• Cooperative bargaining: In this bargaining process, both the parties negotiate in a flexible way to survive. This kind of bargaining takes place at the time of recession or some difficult situation for both the parties.
• Productivity Bargaining: In this method worker’s wages and benefits are linked with the productivity. A standard is defined and when workers exceed that, they get substantial benefits.
• Composite bargaining: When labour bargains for wages as usual with demanding equity in work norms, employment levels, environmental hazards etc without increasing the work load.
