Trade union is an association of workers that helps in promotion and protection of the interests of its members through united action. It is not a casual or temporary but a permanent combination of workers. Trade union formation is on a continuous basis.

It is formed for securing certain economic benefits like wages, better working and living conditions and social benefits like educational, recreational &medical to the members. It is a Kind of insurance to cover a member to fight against irrational, arbitrary any legal actions of employers.
