What is the educational qualification required to enter into the course of Forensic Science?

Students who have passed senior secondary or who are having graduate degree in arts or science are eligible for pursuing graduation course in Forensic Science. Entrance exams are conducted at All India level to enter into the course. These courses are available at graduate, postgraduate, diploma and certificate levels. Short term courses are also available along with distance education courses.
Medical students have an extra advantage of entering into this profession as they are easily acquainted with the medical science and analysis part of the course.
To pursue masters in Forensic Science, one should be BSc in any discipline or in Forensic or Physical or Biological Science. After graduation the aspirant can also join one year PG Diploma courses or can take one year PG certificate course in Forensic Science offered by some of the universities.
M Phil or PhD in Forensic Science can also be done as a degree level.
