What shall be rest intervals according to factories act?
According to factories act no adult worker is allowed to work more than five hours in continuation in a day. So each day the period of work of adult workers in a factory shall be so fixed that no worker shall work for more than five hours before he has had an interval for rest. Also the rest period shall be at least half an hour. This period can be exceeded up to six hours if the State Government or the Chief Inspector of factory approved the written application.
