An audio engineer is an expert in dealing with machinery that is related to sound. They bring music, film and television productions to life through the power of sound. They are the ones who produce and manipulate sound through creative, mechanical and digital means.
An audio engineer makes very good use of his tools to record, sync or mix music, voices or audio. They are in demand all over in various different industries but majorly in film industry. If you become an audio engineer then you can enter either in the movie, music recording, and theatre or video games industries. An audio engineer is sometimes called as sound engineering technicians, recording engineers or sound engineers.
Audio engineers are basically people who operate, maintain a wide array of electrical instruments involved in television or radio broadcasts, concerts, musical recordings, movies, etc. It is often seen, that audio engineers are employed in recording studios where they apply their skills in recording, editing, mixing and mastering sound in order to get to a final result. An audio engineer is usually trained in the use of all the equipment related to sound, like mixer consoles, signal processors, microphones, tape decks, digital audio applications and speaker systems. Alternatively, the word audio engineer can also be used for a scientist or engineer who develops or produces new audio technology working within the field of acoustical engineering.
