Will India really be the superpower of 21st century?

A developed India can be a superpower of 21st century and it is not meant to be a dream. It need not be a mere vision. It is a duty we can all take up towards our country. The surveys and statistics show that India is on a path of becoming a superpower but will it stand out amongst other superpowers?

- The literacy rate of India is growing at a swift rate, which is required for proper functioning of a superpower.

- India needs to plan out a mode of connectivity between the rural areas and the metros as most of the rural areas are not accessible by any means.
- The demand of energy is escalating at the rate of knots, due to its increase in consumption.
- India faces stern challenges in terms of education as a huge bunch of people are still illiterate.
- Corruption has dug deep into the Indian politics and bureaucracy and will destroy India’s dream of being a superpower if not dealt with.
- The ever growing population is a major concern as there are fewer employment opportunities available.
- 1/5th of world's population residing in India is a major reason of thw world treating us as an emerging super power, as we are an obviously huge market for their goods.
- A huge mass of population is still struggling to make both the ends meet.
- We still do not have a strong research and development department making us rely on foreign technology.

India can be a superpower of 21st century only if they pay heed to the major concerns related to corruption and population. India will surely prove its mettle in the coming time and there is no doubt that the foundation for India to become a superpower has already been laid, now its time to work on it and make it happen.
