Women all over the world are looking to get equal status as that of men. The voice of women empowerment is getting stronger day by day. One of the most important decisions of women’s life is taken by men and her family. It is the choice of abortion! No matter how modern a woman is she can’t take an independent decision on abortion. Don’t you think it should be the women’s choice to decide on abortion?

• For the whole life it is mother who takes care of her children, and therefore she has the first right to take every decision related to her children.
• A mother knows her child nine months more than other people. She gets emotionally and physically attached to the foetus. Abortion not only affects the health of unborn child but also has an impact on mother.
• When a women can earn bread for her family then why can’t she take decide about the abortion.
• Sometimes the men and family of old thoughts don’t care about the women’s health and are keen to have a boy child. It has to be stopped.
• In the cases, where women get pregnant before marriage, they deserve a legal right to keep their child.

• Women are not emotionally strong to take such kind of tough decisions.
• There is a difference between individual decision making and consultation with family. There is no harm in consulting others. Final decision can always be of woman.
• All the practical factors have to be evaluated before the final decision, the pregnancy time, financial scenario, family problems, some of which are unexplainable to women.
• A father has an equal say over the abortion, even if he is not carrying the foetus. It is his legal as well as emotional right.
• In the cases, where women get pregnant before marriage, she cannot be allowed to give birth to a child as it will ruin the entire life of the child.
Conclusion
Women should have the right to have a final say over the abortion. But that doesn’t implies she will be always right in her decision making. Such decisions should be taken with mutual consent and understanding of entire family. After all, it is not the women who alone get affected by the birth of a child, but at the same time you cannot deny she is the one who is most affected by the birth of a child.

- This statement doesn’t hold good for people of all sects. This decision differs from family to family and the intimacy of the couples, so as to have a final say on having a new member added to their family or not. Men play an important role in the birth of the child.
It is acceptable that women bears her child in the womb for the 9 months period during which she has to undergo a strict regime and take utmost care of her health. And it is the women’s health that gets altered with the child birth, so her say is definitely to be taken into account during the decision for the abortion of the foetus.
Coming on to the topic of whether men’s decision should be taken into account as a part of the abortion process, it is a matter of serious debate. Though not physically, but men do bear the child emotionally during the span the women is conceived. The emotional of the father definitely gets developed into the man similarly as the woman. The care and support of the man plays a very important role in the health of the mother and her child. This factor of the fatherly emotion definitely holds the say to get the child to this world or not.
It would be wise to conclude that both the parents should have an equal say to decide regarding the abortion of the foetus. This would justify both the physical and emotion pain of both the parents.
