Work hard or work smart - What do you advocate?
In the evening talks, some of the hyper active people keep criticizing their friends about working hard. They keep on pleading the other friends to work smart rather than working hard as it is the demand of the present time. The world is getting more competitive every day. And to stay in the cat race, it is necessary to deliver the best. So, what should professionals do?
Should they work hard or work smart?
Work Hard
• Working smart may take you away from the set guidelines and can open up the doors for many mistakes.
• It is the hard work that has always paid in the past. Nothing comes easy in life and sometimes it is not a choice but an obligation.
• People often call the normal course of work as hard work but that is irrational. It is not the hard work but the required amount of work that has to be done in any case.
• Hard work is about following the procedures, the directions and staying disciplined that comes useful in every area of life.
• Smart work can be another name of laziness that involves skipping of work and hiding the not-so good work!
Work Smart
• Often working hard is just linked to the higher amount of physical work but it is also about the level of stress that comes with work. So, that hard work is of no use.
• All the people are given the same amount of time to work in but some people make it big as they utilize the limited time to deliver more.
• Smart work is about shifting of priorities. It is very important to understand which work should be completed first in limited time to get the maximum benefits.
• Smart work is about multi-tasking where in you can use your skills in such a way that you can outperform the works of others.
• In the competitive world, everyone is working and working smartly is only the way to gain the recognition and success in this world.
Conclusion
There are certain areas where there is no choice but to work hard. But then there are other areas where small changes can reduce the work time and can increase performance of the work. The innovative ways should be looked for. They are always present. In whatever way you move ahead, the key is to deliver the best and receive the best. Ultimately job satisfaction matters!

- If you are diligent enough for your ambitions then i would suggest work hard to work smart. No one can survive for more than a smart worker does in the work area unless you have equipped those skills to handle your load with proper leverage.
People do require to work harder sometimes , but that's only to get well versed with the work you are doing, to get a proper acquaintance with your own abilities, one should be able to learn smart work. - first of all very good morning to all my friends.i am totally agreed with my friends,that both hard work and smart work both have their own place.to really achieve our aims we have to work hard but along with it to keep pace with changing scenario, be in competition with leaders and survive in modern era smart work is key to success.
TO CONCLUDE my discussion both should be practised by one who really want to succeed as hard work brings opportunity and smart work is way to grab that opportunity.

- I think work hard and work smart both have their importance at different places.
It all depends on the "time" factor. Hard work has no substitute and if we want to do the work in a detailed way we have to work hard.
Whereas work smart is the "new age" demand in this competitive environment where their is a race for completing the work in the minimum possible time. In this case one has to work smart, see the priorities and take the decisions accordingly in a smart way. There are occasions where their is shortage of time and the work has to be completed fast in such a case work smart is the only way out. We can not sit back and look into the details then. The important points have to be taken and worked upon.

- as they say by hook or by crook so same is the case here work should be done ,it totally depends on an individual as he like to do it quickly or take his time.as no two fingers are equal same is the case for human minds every person has his own way of approach though smart work saves time hard work makes sure no stone upturned.

- i prefer working hard. your hard work pays u off.. ur smartness is not a measure of ur dedication.. people may not be too smart but once they tried hard to do something, they end up finishing it well..

- In my opinion the concept of smart work do not advocate any unfair means to get a job done. It means to deliver quality work in quick time. And at the end of the day all that matters is how smartly the job was done, not how hardly it was done.

- in my point of view nowadays smart work is the topmost quality more than hard work.because from a peon to an manager of a co. everybody does hardwork but what does their ceo does he only does smart work and this is wat is today's requirement.smart work is more impp also because then you can save your time from hardwork and utilize that time in other things.

- Hard work always more successful.Those are doing hard works they are getting best result through out the life.Smart work people doing always proxy work.To reach goal hard work must compulsory.

- Hard work is important but is gets projected only when it is done smartly. The world is changing day-by-day and life is moving on a much faster note. In this highly competitive world, one need to show his talents to get recognized and be step up in the ladder of success.
Success has a different meaning for everyone, but for succeeding in any manner, one need to work smartly. A person being loaded with work stays at the same position till the time he gets into the eyes of his boss. A self-employed person has to charm others with his smart work to gear up his business.
The choice between hard work and smart work is like opting between fair and unfair means. It is essential to maintain balance in life, whether its fair and unfair path or it being the hard work and smart work. Neither the over-smartness win an ever success story, nor the hard work alone gain any success in life.
To conclude, it is must to maintain a balance between hard and smart work in order to maintain harmony in life.

- According my point of view both we need at present time.work smart are on demand rather then work hard.but work hard come from more n more practice of that work (its call hard work).when we became confident we do smart work.we think many solution of one problem..
