    - The mechanism shown above consists of 5 number of links and 5 number of pairs.

    - Therefore, considering the formula

    n = 2p – 4 we get,

    5 = (2 x 5) – 4

    5 = 6

    Here L.H.S < R.H.S

    Therefore, the mechanism shown above is unconstrained.
