Who is responsible for increasing incidences against females?

Who is responsible for increasing incidences against females – boys or the girls themselves?
Introduction

Rape and city has become the everyday news. The newspapers and the news channels might lose any other piece of news event, but these incidents of sexual assault are never a miss. The reason may be to increase the viewer rating, or the sale of the news magazine, but the reported incidences are the true happenings round the country. The cases are getting reported in huge numbers every day, and we should not forget the bitter truth that a lot many cases still go unreported. When we try to find the ways to check the number of incidences, we get into the analysis on the cause of these increasing incidences. We are undergoing the westernization of our culture which has inflicted almost every part of our country. In such a scenario, who should be held responsible for these increasing incidences – is that the boys or the girls?

Boys

- Boys are definitely the first cause which needs to be taught the basic manners and decency. They forget the dignity and respect for the women.

- Boys have the ego of being superior to women. They think they can control and rule women with all their physical strength. This dominating attitude aggravates the animal instinct within them.

- It is the upbringing which plays the major role. We cannot blame the whole men community, but it is the wrong upbringing which feeds filthy thoughts into their minds.

- The literacy is also another factor. Though the cases are reported against the men from all the class, still we can find an alarming increase in the incidences from the males of lower socio-economic strata and especially the ones who are illiterate or less educated.

- The civilized behaviour comes from the learning and thoughts. The inner strength and mental alertness does make the person behave more like human. The males do have the physical strength, but few of them lack the will power and internal stamina which makes them behave in an inhuman way.

Girls

- With the westernization, girls have forgotten their dressing sense. Gone are the days when Indian girls were respected for their dignified outfit. The ways in which the girls dress-up today distracts the boys and lead them to commit such an offense.

- The body language of the girls lack the decent touch and it attracts the boys. Though not every male has the same sense of vision for the females, still the mind filled with filth gets distracted much easily with the body language of the girls.

- The over-social behaviour amongst the youngsters in another cause of such increase in the incidences. The youngsters forget the line of decency in their behaviour. The girls who actually have to bear the after-effects definitely need to be more careful in their approach. Flowing away with the spirit of joy often leads to the cases of sexual-assault.

- There are incidences when the girls do use the boys for fulfilling their needs and then leaving the relationship in vain. The pride and ego of the male gets hurt and the emotionally hit male gets into such offense.

- Girls need to understand the status of life and safety for themselves in present day. They need to be extra-cautious and should try to be within the limits. We should rectify ourselves first before blaming others for the happenings.

Conclusion

It is very much acceptable that both boys and girls have their own share of responsibility in curbing such incidences across the country. It is not wrong to incorporate other culture, but we need to understand and respect our own culture and dignity and only allow the good virtues from others. Flowing away with the westernization would not be a fit to the Indian society. Instead of blaming the boys and girls alone, we need to understand the truth that our vision and ideas should correlate and should be collateral to the ideologies of our society. We need to be extra careful during the upbringing of children, teaching them the value and decency in the physical relationship and the limit which the youngsters need to maintain during their interactions. A good society with a healthy thought will definitely help in checking these incidences.

  • Women assault and rape cases have drastically increase in past few years, not to forget there are still many cases goes unreported. Neither boys or girls community should be held responsible for such incidence. i feel the whole society is responsible , the upbringing in Indian culture is going wrong somewhere. Boys are inculcated with the idea of superiority against women, the root cause should be eliminated. any family has both male and females, if a child sees male dominating society he learns the same. Similar way girls get the upbringing of being submissive instead of speaking against wrong. not only rape cases many girls in India undergoes child abuse.....how can someone blame a child. The mentality needs to be changed. in simple words as we are taught that stealing is a crime, murder is a crime, same way sex with force is also a crime. one can't own someone.
I feel Co-education school should be promoted, sex education should be promoted, and instead of blaming the boys or girls community the root causes should be eliminated.

  • I think both boy and girl responsible for such type of incidence.we can't blame girl or boy alone.Perhaps there is literally attraction of boy towards the girl. Bt it doesn't matter to do such type of brutal crime.Girl should not be judged according to their dress that's right.Bt our culture are badly affected from the western culture. Our culture not permitted to girl to wear dress like western culture. Because we people are not habitual of that type of culture so I think this is also stands for such type of incidences.so it is wrong to say that only boys are responsible. Obviously any man raped with a girl in that cases bad intention of man is responsible. Bt girls should also understand about their own culture

  • it is only men and society as well as law and order responsible for crime against women. the thinking of men and society and system of law and order should be changed to stop the crime against women.

  • I think that not only men or the human society or girl is every time responsible for all this increasing crimes against women. The thinking of commen must be changed for a girl...

  • I agree that boys are not the only responsible people for this. And also I completely disagree the arguements regarding a girl's attire. If the attire is responsible, then why people are accepting the dresses worn by lead actresses in the movies?
    Aren't they girls?
the lenience in LAW is one of the factor for such incidents. A person(or a boy) thinks for a while if he needs to murder a person but doesn't think to do this for girls. Why???
Because the law is strong for murder but not for these things.
the punishment given to these things should be DEATH.....
    How many will agree this?

  • The only person that should be held responsible or culprit behind the molestation against the girls is the person that is behind that crime.Be it either a boy a girl.
Moreover, I believe, the increase in the rates of crime against a girl are cause of:
1.Lack of strong punishment by judiciary of India for the crime against women.
2.Lack of sense of sympathy towards women of India.
3.(Very Important One)Lack of Brave nature of Women or her family for reporting that crime .

  • There is not one person who is responsible for increasing rate of incidents against women.
There are many persons who are responsible....

    1) BOYS: Because, they think ..they can rule over a woman...
    2) POLICE : Because they never take anything serious.
    3) SOCIETY : Because, many people are there who don't even try to register a case for any type of miss-happenings done to their daughters....
    4) COURTS : Because, they never take any right decision at the right time.

  • Today, the situation is that woman feels more safe with an animal than with man. I don't know whether wearing western clothes by a girl is a reason of such incidents with her or not,but yes I can say for sure that it is not THE only reason of such happenings with her.
I completely agree with this that what about that 2 year old girl who was sexually assaulted.
    What was her fault?
Yeah she was wearing mini skirt, short clothes etc. and allowing man to sexually indulge with her. AM I RIGHT????
what about an 18 year old girl who was wearing Salwaar Kameez (which is a dignified outfit in Indian culture) was also a victim of rape.
The problem is not with the girl's clothes, problem is filth that exists in man's mind, problem is with the society who dominate man, problem is with the government who is still unsuccessful to make a strict law against such incidences, problem is with girls who are still silent and not raising their voice.

  • yes,obviously..men and the society should be blamed for this..it is not that the dressing the conduct or the way the women lead her life would somehow affect this.It is the men who have shitt in their brains..and it is just like fulfill their desires..and blame someone for it...what the hell would a 3 year old girl would know about anything...
today in news it is about a animal who is the son of the school head. allegedly raped a 3 year old girl...how cruel it is...can anyone fall down to that extent.one should think about the from from different perspective...
-men are under a kind of mental disorders..those men suffer from insecurity and disablity and to let them know that is not at all called as manhood..
-society must first of all treat every one equally..irrespective of the gender and try to find some cure to the mental illness of such people..
-give support to the victims to fight against.
-the upbringing of a individual right from his child hood he must know how to respect women..
    and finally....a great man said..
"To know about any civilization, first of all see how it treats its women from it we can understand"

  • the sole reason for the increasing incidences against women is the mentality of the indian society .the society which judges a women by her clothes and her way of conduct. respect for a fellow human being is the need of the hour.this respect will automatically will be seen the day the citizen of the country will treat women as a person and not as a target .

  • Illiteracy and moral wickedness are the major points that lead to such a flagrant offense.extension in the limits and over undue mental establishment of girls is an another point to be cared upon.giving a undue respect to the western cult in lure of getting fashionable and expose goes against girls, althou no male is entitled to make her pay for this in an assaulting manner.it must be seen that before we plant an ac in room we confirm that its airtight similarly the ambience plays a role.we are not supposed to bring down western culture merely in a fanciful manner.the lazy and delayed laws are another factor that contributes handsomely in increasing incidents.pros and cons, effective measures, etc are endless.mental sagacity and a will full dignity can curb over such issues.

  • women assault increase every day in our society. we feel that every woman have insecure in society.we are not blaming boys only, yes this is the fact most of the cases boys are responsible but technology also responsible because many sex relative sites are available in internet and males are easily get all these sites by internet so if these sites are closed by our gov so at least these assault would be some less
and girls are also create this type of environment cause of dressing sense.though this is the modern time but why we forget that we are Indian and we undergoing western culture.we have some limitation and if we live in these limits so definitely we will make a better culture for our country

  • Crime against women are increasing day by day."violence against women is a manifestation of historically unequal power relations between men and women" and that "violence against women is one of the crucial social mechanisms by which women are forced into a subordinate position compared with men."

Violence against women and girls is a problem of pandemic proportions. At least one out of every three women around the world has been beaten, coerced into sex, or otherwise abused in her lifetime with the abuser usually someone known to her

Violence against women can fit into several broad categories. These include violence carried out by ‘individuals’ as well as ‘states.’ Some of the forms of violence perpetrated by individuals are rape; domestic violence; sexual harassment; coercive use of contraceptives; female infanticide; prenatal sex selection; obstetric violence and mob violence; as well as harmful customary or traditional practices such as honor killings, dowry violence, female genital mutilation, marriage by abduction and forced marriage. Some forms of violence are perpetrated or condoned by the state such as war rape; sexual violence and sexual slavery during conflict; forced sterilization; forced abortion; violence by the police and authoritative personnel; stoning and flogging. Many forms of VAW, such as trafficking in women and forced prostitution are often perpetrated by organized criminal networks .

  • Here boys are not totally blamed for such sexual assault . i know the case in which a 2 year girl child get sexually assault . that is inhumanity .But this inhumanity is not the passion it may be vengeance . we all are aware that no body will do this for fun, its defiantly results of other phenomenon .
In other situation a girl using a boy and at last he got cheated . then what he will do? He defiantly lose his sense and do that he never wanted to. who is responsible here...
In case of sexual assault boys should never be blamed always.

  • The incidences against females are increasing at an alarming rate. The law and order system as well as the society has taken certain ways to curtail it. The focus of people stays on punishing the offenders or blaming the girls. No one cares to find out the root cause of the existing problems or to think about the steps that can bring in a change in society.

Coming to the discussion, the one thing is very clear. The rape victim is in any way not responsible for the incident. Nowadays even a girl child, hardly one or two year old becomes a victim of rape. So, where was she wrong? Was she wrong in her dressing sense, or she did invite the culprit to indulge with her? The dressing sense of girls or her living style doesn’t give the permission to boys to go ahead and sexually assault her. And, more importantly, most of the times it is the simple and subdued girls who are attacked by illegal elements.

So, it is clear that girls are in no way responsible for such incidences. The change has to be brought in the thought process of boys who succumb down to their sexual desires. Also, it is necessary to mention that even from other perspective boys are not directly responsible for such incidences. It is the society who is responsible. It is the one who frames the attitude of boys towards girls. Girls are mentioned as vulnerable object to man. Boys are given a poor understanding of the opposite sex. Right from the childhood boys are told that girls are inferior to them and they accept it and consider her as an object to prove manhood.
