I am a student of XII Commerce and I aspire to become an Investment Banker. What is the career path that I should follow to become an Investment Banker? Please guide me with all the qualification details as I am really baffled about what I am going to do ahead in life.

Investment banking professionals go with investors with businesses in want of financial support. Educational requirements for this career depend on your career goals, but the preponderance of entry-level investment banking positions requires a bachelor's degree in finance or a related field. Getting a bachelor's degree in accounting, business or finance is essential for finding a career in investment banking.

Investment banking management professions generally need a master's degree in business administration or a similar field. For higher level positions in this field, a master's degree in business administration or finance is necessary. Most business administration programs offer actual field experience, which employers are seeking in recruits. Mathematics, computer science, communications and business are the subjects that you will need to concentrate on for this carer as this will be taught in investment banking degree programs. They will teach you to develop appropriate professional behaviour and accepting the importance of business ethics. Studies will be on principles of taxation, accounting, investing, human resource management, value investing, corporate finance and business statistics.

Floor brokers are another career option in investment banking which includes selling and trading goods on the behalf of investors.
