Explanation

The purpose of a microphone is to convert the sound into an electronic signal. Dynamic microphones work with the help of electromagnetic induction. The magnet which is installed in the equipment allows the current to flow in the wire. These microphones are strong and are resistant to moisture. Since past many years, carbon microphones are used in the telephones. It uses carbon dust on one side of the diaphragm and when the sound waves hit the diaphragm, they compress the carbon dust. In the crystal microphone, a crystal is attached to the diaphragm which creates a signal, when the diaphragm gets vibrated by the waves.
