Explain Firewall-to-Firewall VPNs.
Firewall security mechanisms,
including restricting access to the internal network are the advantages of
firewall-to-firewall VPNs. Address translations, satisfying requirements for
strong authentication and serve the alarms that are real-time and logging
extensively are the performances of F-T-F VPNs. The protection of OS is one of
the major features, where supply guidance on OS security by very few VPN
application vendors. As a performance concern, if firewall is already loaded,
some firewall vendors offers encryption processors which are hardware-based,
for minimizing the impact of VPN management on a system.
