What is Oracle Parallel Query?

Parallel query is a key technology that allows business to efficiently process massive amount of data. By parallel processing we can quickly query processing by distributing the database horizontally over nodes through a load balancing act. Oracle parallel query splits a single task into smaller units and process them in parallel. We use OPQ because: Uses idle CPU, memory and I/O resource.
