Externizable The statement is true as Externaizable instance is written in the serialization stream which only consist of the identity class of that instance. It is for the class to save and restore the contents of the instance that has been put up. The methods used to implement by the class is as writeExternal and readExternal methods which gives the complete control over the format and contents of the stream for an object and its supertypes.
