Overview of XSLT and the components that make up an XSLT
style sheet
-
XSL stands for EXtensible Stylesheet Language.
-
The World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) started to develop XSL because there was a
need for an XML-based Stylesheet Language.
XSL consists of three languages as its parts:
-
XSLT for transforming XML documents
-
XPath for navigating in XML documents
-
XSL-FO for formatting XML documents
