Your doubts about today is the major limit to your realization of tomorrow
Along with doubts about today there are many other factors which hold us back
and stop us from achieving excellence, like – fear, procrastination, lack of
self-esteem etc. These factors act as subconscious emotional brakes in your
life.
For each short-coming in life, we always manage to find excuses. We spend
endless time in analyzing things and never get into the action mode.
All of us are blessed with a high speed gear that we never use – No one has been
given a dream without being blessed with the capability to realize it. Here are
some factors which you need to overcome to get into the top gear:
Excuses
Excuses don’t matter; it is the result that counts. If you ever meet a failure,
you should have the courage to take its responsibility and learn from the
mistakes. Fools and losers have the habit of committing same mistakes
repeatedly and not accepting it. If you are not successful, it is not because
you are not trying hard; it is because you have been repeating the same
mistakes.
Lack of persistence
Secret of success lies in two traits – persistence and resistance. Winners get
struck but don’t get destroyed. You normally fail because you quit just before
the results are about to come. Most of us are in a hurry for instant results
and when we don’t get them, we quit. Persist your dream and resist the urge to
quit.
Looking for shortcuts
People looking for shortcuts made lottery a flourishing business. Adultery acts
are on the high. Believe me instant happiness and results are just like instant
coffee, which do not last for long.
You need to realize that there are no quick fixes in life when craving for
excellence. This attitude leads to disappointment, resentment and wastage of
time. Instant results are speed but hard earned success is enduring.
Lack of understanding of law of cause and effect
For every effect, there is a cause. You have to settle with the fact that for
every result you desire, you need to take an action - What you sow, so shall
you reap. Life is like a garden, if you sow good seed you will have flowers
blooming around otherwise weeds do not take much time to grow up.
Lack of Preparation
I lack confidence – most of us say this and never dig into the real cause of low
confidence. It is our preparation that boosts confidence. Pressure haunts for
lack of preparation and that is when you are not able to display your
capabilities. It is imperative to know that success gravitates to those who are
well prepared. Remember there will be lesser competition for every extra mile
you dare to cover.
Fear
Fear sabotages your logical thinking and ability to work rationally. It actually
magnifies the problem and stops you from crossing emotional prison. Fear of
failure is worst than failure itself.
Fatalistic attitude
85% of your success depends on your attitude and rest 15% on the knowledge and
information you have gathered through books and experience. With fatalistic
approach, we have no purpose, we rely on luck and complacency becomes a way of
life. This attitude becomes chief destroyer and script failure.
Lack of purpose
If you don’t have a purpose, you can’t rise high; no matter what other amenities
you have. It is like driving a Mercedes without knowing the destination.
When a dog chases a car; it has no purpose and ends up getting nothing. Prayers
are not answered when you have no purpose and direction.
